What it is

The White Night of Flamenco is an initiative of Cordoba City Council that turns the city, for one June night close to the summer solstice, into a huge flamenco stage. The first edition was held in 2008, inspired by the Nuit Blanche in Paris, and even then it drew more than 200,000 people.

Artists such as Fosforito, El Lebrijano, José Mercé, Miguel Poveda, El Cigala, Manolo Sanlúcar and Rosario Flores have performed. In 2026 it held its seventeenth edition.

Where

In squares and monuments in the centre and the historic quarter, such as Plaza de las Tendillas, Plaza de la Corredera, Plaza de San Agustín, Plaza del Potro, the Courtyard of the Orange Trees of the Mosque-Cathedral, the area around the Calahorra tower and the Alcázar gardens.

Customs and traditions

People move from stage to stage through the night following the programme, and many stay up for the last performance, at dawn, in the Alcázar gardens.
