Step-by-step help
What's hardest the first time, explained with drawings and screens: adding InfoCórdoba to your phone, getting alerts, making text bigger, your account and ads. Choose your phone and you'll only see its steps.
Your phone
Adding InfoCórdoba to your Home Screen
That way InfoCórdoba opens with one tap, like an app, without the browser bar. There's nothing to download from any store. On iPhone you need this to get alerts.
iPhone
-
In Safari, with InfoCórdoba open, tap the three dots «⋯» next to the address bar.
-
In the menu that opens, tap «Share».
-
Scroll down the list and tap «Add to Home Screen». If it's not there, tap «Edit Actions» at the bottom and add it.
-
Leave the «Open as Web App» switch on and tap «Add», at the top right.
-
Done: find the InfoCórdoba icon on your Home Screen and tap it to open it.
Alerts need iOS 16.4 or later. To remove it: press and hold the icon and tap «Delete App».
Android with Chrome
-
In Chrome, with InfoCórdoba open, tap the three dots «⋮» (More), at the top right.
-
In the menu, tap «Add to home screen» or «Install app».
-
Tap «Install».
-
Done: the InfoCórdoba icon appears on your home screen (or in the app list). Tap it to open it.
To remove it: phone Settings → Apps → InfoCórdoba → Uninstall.
Samsung
-
In Samsung Internet, tap the three-line menu «≡», at the bottom right.
-
In the menu, tap «Add page to».
-
Tap «Home screen».
-
Keep the name «InfoCórdoba» and tap «Add».
Computer

In Chrome or Edge, look to the right of the address bar for the install icon (a screen with an arrow) and click it.
-
Click «Install». InfoCórdoba will open in its own window.
If you press and hold the icon, shortcuts to the most used sections appear. Without signal you can look again at the pages you've already opened.
Getting alerts on your phone
InfoCórdoba alerts you when the pharmacy on duty changes, if there's a weather warning, with each morning's weather or with news on the topics you choose. No account needed.
- In the section you're interested in, tap the «Alert me…» button. For example, in Pharmacies:
The browser asks whether you'll let it alert you. Tap «Allow»:
iPhone
-
With InfoCórdoba opened from its icon, when the prompt appears, tap «Allow».
Android with Chrome
-
When the prompt appears, tap «Allow». If the phone then asks whether Chrome can send notifications, tap «Allow» as well.
Samsung
-
When the prompt appears, tap «Allow».
Computer
-
When the notice appears below the address bar, click «Allow».
To see what you have turned on, choose for how long (always, today only, three days, one week or one month) or remove it, open «My alerts», at the bottom of any page:
If you don't see the button on iPhone, it's because InfoCórdoba isn't on your Home Screen: this note appears instead. First add InfoCórdoba to your Home Screen (above) and open it from its icon.
Alerts belong to that phone and that browser: if you change phones, you have to turn them on again. At night, from 23:00 to 8:00, no automatic alerts arrive, except the most serious weather warnings.
If you said no to alerts
If you tapped «Don't Allow» or «Block» on the prompt, the browser won't ask again. InfoCórdoba tells you like this:

Your account
Creating the account and confirming your email
You only need an account to post ads, contact sellers, save favorites and choose your home page buttons.
- In «Create account», type your name, your email and a password of at least 10 characters, with letters and numbers. If it says it's not valid, try a longer one.
- You'll get an email from InfoCórdoba. Open it and tap the link. If you can't see it, check your junk (spam) folder.
- When you tap the link it asks you to sign in with your email and the password you've just chosen; once you're in, your email is confirmed. The link is valid for one hour: if it expires, sign in to your account and tap «Resend link».
Signing in with your Google account
- In «Sign in», tap «Sign in with Google» and choose your account.
- If you already had a InfoCórdoba account with that same email, they're joined: you sign in to yours.
If you created your account with Google and one day want to sign in with a password, use «I've forgotten my password» to set one.
If you've forgotten your password
- In «Sign in», tap «I've forgotten my password».
- Type your email and tap «Send link».
- Open the email you receive and choose a new password. The link is valid for one hour.
Two-step verification
It's optional. As well as your password, when you sign in it asks for a 6-digit code that changes every so often and comes from an app on your phone.
- Install a code app. On iPhone the built-in «Passwords» app works; Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator also work.
- On InfoCórdoba, go to My account → Security and tap «Set up». A QR code appears.
- Scan the QR code with the code app. It has to be on another screen: open InfoCórdoba on a computer or another phone to scan it.
- Type the 6-digit code the app gives you and tap «Turn on».
- 8 recovery codes appear and won't be shown again: write them down on paper and keep it safe.
From then on, when you sign in it will ask for the app's code:
If you lose your phone, tap «I've lost access to my app» and type one of the recovery codes. Each code works only once.
If you've lost your phone and the codes too, write to us from Contact.
Classifieds
Posting an ad with photos
You need an account and a confirmed email.
- In Classifieds, tap «Post». There are four steps: Category, Photos, Details and Review.
- In Photos you can take the photo there and then or choose it from your gallery. Up to 6 photos, of 8 MB at most each.
- In Details, type the title, the description and the price (leave it empty if it's on request). Don't include your address.
- Review it and tap «Post ad». It's reviewed before it goes live and lasts 60 days.
In My account → My ads you can renew it for another 60 days, mark it as sold or delete it:
Contacting a seller, or reporting an ad
- In the ad, type your message and tap «Contact». You need an account with a confirmed email.
- It reaches them by email and they reply to your address.
- If an ad is a scam or a duplicate, open «Report this ad», choose the reason and tap «Send report». No account needed for this.
Tips
Saving an event to your calendar
On any event page in What's On there's the «Add to calendar» button:
iPhone
-
On the InfoCórdoba event page, tap the button to add it to your calendar.
-
If Safari asks whether you want to see the calendar invitation, tap «Allow».
-
The event card appears: tap «Add to Calendar» (if there are several, «Add All»).
Android with Chrome
-
On the InfoCórdoba event page, tap the button to add it to your calendar.
-
Chrome downloads the event. In the notice at the bottom, tap «Open».
-
If it asks what to open it with, choose your calendar (usually Google «Calendar»).
-
Check the event and tap «Save».
«☆ Save», next to it, saves it to your favorites (you need an account).
My Córdoba and the home page buttons
My Córdoba, in the bar at the bottom: you choose your stop, your lines and your topics, and it shows you your things as soon as you open it. It's saved in that browser, no account needed: if you change phones or clear the browser's data, you have to choose again.
The six home page buttons are changed in «Make them yours», and that is saved in your account: you'll see them the same on any phone where you sign in.
Sharing a news story
Below each story are the buttons to share it. «Share» opens your own phone's menu, with all your apps. The icons go straight to WhatsApp, Facebook, X and Telegram, and the last one copies the link so you can paste it wherever you like.
Without signal
Pages you've already opened can be viewed again without signal. What you didn't open before isn't there, and anything that needs a connection (searching, filters, your account) waits until you're back online.
