Subbética presents its ecotourism offer at the Naturcyl fair in Segovia

The Mancomunidad de la Subbética is taking part until Sunday, September 27 in the Feria Internacional de Ecoturismo in Segovia, where it showcases hiking routes, bird watching and olive oil tourism, among other resources.

La Mancomunidad de la Subbética is taking part this weekend in Naturcyl, the International Ecotourism Fair, held from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27 at the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso, in Segovia. The region is present within the Andalusian Tourism space, where it showcases its resources linked to nature tourism, sustainability and active tourism.

Meetings with specialised operators

The participation also has a professional component. Three technicians from the Mancomunidad de la Subbética and from the town councils of Rute and Doña Mencía took part on Friday, September 25 in the Nature Tourism Contracting Exchange, with meetings with operators and professionals from the sector. According to the Mancomunidad, the aim of these meetings is to present the new tourism products linked to ecotourism being developed in the region and to establish contacts that allow their incorporation into circuits and proposals from specialised operators.

Hiking, birds and sky watching

The offer presented at Naturcyl includes proposals related to:

hiking and the olive grove landscape
birdwatching
rural heritage and nature interpretation
night sky watching

Added to these resources are experiences linked to gastronomy, local products and the historical and cultural heritage of the municipalities of the Subbética. Among the products brought to the fair are the GR-355 Ruta Subbeticana, new ornithological routes, local trails such as the giant swings trail and oleotourism experiences linked to centuries-old olive trees.

Tourism marketing strategy

The Mancomunidad states that participation in Naturcyl is part of its tourism marketing strategy and seeks to generate new collaboration opportunities, as well as to strengthen the presence of the Subbética in the specialised nature tourism and ecotourism market.
