The districts of the province will have 282,520 euros from the Diputación de Córdoba to promote themselves. That amount is provided by the provincial institution within 18 collaboration agreements signed with town councils, associations of municipalities, associations and business entities, which add up to a total investment of more than 500,000 euros. The money is destined for initiatives to revitalize and project the province, according to the Diputación. Among them are the creation of brands and tourism action plans in districts such as Sierra Morena, la Campiña Sur, la Vega del Guadalquivir, Los Pedroches, el Alto Guadalquivir and la Subbética.

Festivals, heritage and gastronomy

The agreements also support events of cultural and heritage roots. This is the case of the representation of Fuenteovejuna 2026, the promotion of the cultural heritage of the municipalities belonging to the Asociación Caminos de Pasión, the dissemination of the Semana Santa of Córdoba and its municipalities, the Specula de Espejo initiative and the Peregrinación Nacional de Hermandades de la Vera-Cruz in Castro del Río. In the gastronomic, wine tourism and active and nature tourism sphere, they include support for the 15ª Ruta Subbética de Vespa Club, Enamoriles Festival, la Academia del Vino de Córdoba, the revitalization of the GR-355 Ruta Subbeticana trail, the Feria Gastronómica de Fuente Palmera and the Proyecto Rider Andalucía of the Unión Motociclista de la Subbética. The president of the Diputación, Salvador Fuentes, has stated that these agreements seek to ensure that «opportunities reach every corner» and has defended experience-based tourism: «it is not enough to have resources, you have to know how to promote them».
