The Cabildo completes the restoration of the fourth pier of the Patio de los Naranjos
The Mezquita-Catedral conservation team has finished the work on this reinforcement pillar, located in the arcade separating the courtyard from the interior of the temple, after several months of intervention.

The Cabildo Catedral has completed the restoration works on the fourth machón of the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba, a reinforcement pillar located in the arcade that separates the Patio de los Naranjos from the interior of the temple.
According to the note issued by the Cabildo Catedral, the intervention lasted several months and is part of the monument's maintenance plan. The goal was to repair and consolidate the structure of this element, which showed the wear typical of the passage of time and exposure to the elements.
The works have included deep cleaning, the removal of added materials that were not compatible with the original stone, and the consolidation of the latter, in order to ensure the stability of the pillar.
The Cabildo Catedral notes that these actions aim to preserve the building, declared a World Heritage Site, and improve the visit for those who come to the monument.
