Teatro Góngora schedules ten Family Seat shows until May
The series, organized by the IMAE, the Delegación de Educación e Infancia and the Orquesta de Córdoba, combines theater, circus, puppetry and symphonic music with family and school performances from October to May.

The cycle «Vamos al Teatro» brings together seven shows of circus, theatre, flamenco, adapted classical theatre, dance and clown, aimed at audiences aged five to fourteen. It opens with the Cordoban company Alas Circo Teatro with «Cateura», on Sunday, October 18 in a family performance at 12:00 hours, and on October 19 and 20 in school performances, with a story about sustainability and waste aimed at children aged six to twelve.
In November comes «Alboroto», by Truca Circus and Cia Chicharrón Circo Flamenco, on Sunday, November 15 at 19:00 hours, a show combining circus and flamenco directed by the Cordoban Germán López. According to the note sent by the organisers, this proposal is part of the programming of the Teatros de Córdoba for the anniversary of the declaration of flamenco as an intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
In December, Los Hermanos Moreno present a circus comedy with juggling, live music and humour, with a family performance on December 13 at 12:00 hours and school performances on December 14 and 15. In January, the company Escena Trece stages «Imaginando el Quijote», for audiences aged ten to fourteen, with a family performance on January 17 and school performances on January 18 and 19.
February brings «El bosque de Coco», by La Buena Compañía, awarded at the Premios Lorca 2026, about children's mental health, with a performance on February 14 for pupils in the second and third cycle of primary school accompanied by their families, and school performances on February 15 and 16. In March, «Bambi, una vida en el bosque», by Luna Teatro Danza, recognised with the Premio FETEN 2026 for best performance, will be staged on March 14 for families and on March 15 and 16 for schools, aimed at nursery pupils aged three to five.
The theatre cycle closes, in April, with «A la Gloria con Gloria Fuertes», by Teatro de Malta, a candidate for the Premios Max 2026 for best family show, with a performance on April 25 and school sessions on April 26 and 27, for audiences aged five to eight.
Concerts by the Orquesta de Córdoba
The Orquesta de Córdoba adds three educational concerts conducted by conductors trained at the Cátedra de Dirección de Orquesta Zubin Mehta of the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía. «La orquesta escondida», with the Dúo Vibra-tó as presenters, will have school performances on February 4 and 5 and a family one on February 7 at 12:00 hours, for audiences aged eight to twelve.
«La música... también se cuenta», an original idea by the orchestra's clarinettist Joaquín Haro, will be performed on April 29 and 30 for schoolchildren aged ten to fourteen and on May 2 for family audiences. The cycle closes with «Misterio en la orquesta», featuring the puppet Evaristo, with school performances on May 17 and 18 and a family one on May 16, aimed at children aged four to seven.
According to the note, the president of the Consorcio Orquesta de Córdoba, Juan Miguel Moreno Calderón, has stated that these educational concerts «are of great interest because they foster interest in music among the youngest».
Tickets for all the shows will go on sale from Tuesday, September 22 at 10:00 hours at teatrocordoba.es and on the IMAE-Teatros de Córdoba app. Those who prefer to buy in person can go to the Teatro Góngora box office until September 30, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 hours.
