The Policía Local de Lucena dismantles an illegal motorcycle racing spot
An operation at the Parque Empresarial «Príncipe Felipe» resulted in several fines and a motorcycle seized and immobilized, following a neighbor's report of nighttime races.

Officers of the Local Police of Lucena carried out on the afternoon of Saturday, September 19 a surveillance and control operation on Avenida de Madrid, within the «Príncipe Felipe» Business Park, after receiving information days earlier about the possible holding of illegal motorcycle races in the area.
According to the note issued by the Ayuntamiento de Lucena, the operation was made possible thanks to citizen collaboration, which had brought to the attention of the Local Police the disturbances and the risk generated by these practices.
With that prior information, the officers caught several of the vehicles involved in the act and proceeded to identify their drivers, in addition to carrying out the corresponding administrative and technical checks.
As a result, several citations were issued for the motorcycles lacking a valid Inspección Técnica de Vehículos (ITV), as well as for other infractions of traffic and road safety regulations. In addition, one of the motorcycles was seized and immobilized as it did not meet the necessary conditions to circulate with safety guarantees.
The Ayuntamiento notes that this operation is part of the periodic deployments that the Local Police of Lucena carries out to prevent risky conduct on public roads, with special attention to practices that can endanger both those who take part in them and the rest of the users and residents of the town.
From the Jefatura de la Policía Local, residents are encouraged to keep using the usual channels to pass on this type of information to the municipal corporation.
