The Espíritu Santo Chapel at the Mezquita-Catedral reopens to the public
The space, damaged by a fire last year, returns to the visitor itinerary after a restoration process that has repaired the damage caused by smoke.

The Chapel of the Holy Spirit, inside the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, has reopened its doors and once again forms part of the route that visitors to the monument can take. From today it is possible once more to view the interior and the ornamental elements of this space.
The chapel had remained closed after suffering a fire last year, according to the Cabildo Catedral. Over the past months a restoration process has been carried out to repair the damage caused by the smoke.
The works have included cleaning, consolidation of the affected elements, and adjustment of the lighting of the space, as detailed by the Cabildo in its statement.
The Cabildo Catedral notes that the intervention following the fire relied on the emergency protocols activated at the time and on the subsequent work of the technical restoration teams.
