Priego will host on October 18 the performance of 'El barbero de Sevilla', by Gioachino Rossini, as part of the Ópera en la Provincia programme. The performance will take place at the Teatro Victoria and its proceeds will go to the Priego-based association Cuidando el Alma.
The production is by the company Córdoba Ópera Lamp, with Alberto Cubero as musical director and Guillermo Arza in stage direction. The set design, created by Helena Cordenao, is inspired by Spain of the 1950s and 1960s. The cast is made up of national and international artists, and the performance will include surtitles.
Tickets are priced at 10 euros, are unnumbered, and a row zero will be set up for monetary donations. They can be purchased at participating establishments and at the Teatro Victoria box office on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 18:00 to 20:00.
