The Diputación de Córdoba promotes the XIX edition of Ars Olea, the Craft Fair of Castro del Río, organized by the Ayuntamiento de Castro del Río with the collaboration of the provincial institution. The fair will take place in the historic La Villa neighborhood and will feature more than 50 exhibition stalls of artisans, ceramists, lace-makers, carpenters, basket-makers, perfumers and jewelers, among others.
The program includes an open-doors day in museums for schools, the official opening with the presentation of the 'Artesanas de Honor' recognition to the Asociación de Encajeras de Bolillo, musical performances, tastings, natural cosmetics workshops, net weaving or nest boxes for bats, a retrospective exhibition of the Concursos Internacionales de La Rambla, and a street theater show about Cervantes.
During Saturday and Sunday, craft, gastronomy and heritage activities follow one another: miller's breakfast, children's workshops, food tastings, Montilla-Moriles wine tasting, flamenco in the street, macramé workshops, tasting of migas cervantinas, street parades and concerts by the Coral Alfonso X el Sabio and the Banda de Música with Lucía Leiva as guest artist.
