Cabra opens the call for the 2027 Carnival poster contest with a 600 euro prize
The deadline to submit works will open the day after the call is published in the BOP of Córdoba and will end on December 21 at 14.15 hours.

Cabra Carnival 2027 is already looking for its image. The City Council has announced the competition to choose the poster announcing the festival, which will be held from January 22 to February 7 next year, with a single prize of 600 euros for the winning work.
Anyone who wishes may take part. Minors will need written authorisation from their father, mother or legal representative. The winning poster will become the property of the City Council and will be used to publicise the Cabra Carnival.
What the poster must be like
The works must be original and unpublished, must not have been entered in other competitions and must not bear a signature or any element that allows their authorship to be identified. The theme will be related to the Cabra Carnival, with freedom of technique and composition, provided that the graphic reproduction is simple.
The format will be vertical, 70 centimetres high by 50 wide, mounted on a rigid support of the same size. The designs will include the inscription «Carnaval de Cabra 2027. Del 22 de enero al 7 de febrero» and the city's coat of arms, or will reserve space for both elements. If the work is done by computer, an external memory device must also be submitted with the final original files and the technical information required by the rules.
The use of artificial intelligence tools is permitted with a maximum involvement of 25%, provided that they are not the basis of the work and do not replace the creativity and skill of the person signing it. Their use must be detailed in a sworn declaration included in the documentation. Works created entirely with this technology and those whose use has not been declared are excluded.
The jury will assess artistic quality, originality, creativity, expressiveness, visual impact, innovation, design and ease of reproduction, as well as identification with the values of the Cabra Carnival. The decision will be communicated to the winning person and will be published on the municipal website and at the public presentation of the poster. An exhibition of the works is planned at the ‘El Jardinito’ Theatre from January 22 to February 5, provided that the number and quality of the entries allow it to be held.
Where and until when they are submitted
The works may be taken to the Delegación de Feria y Fiestas, on the first floor of the City Council (Plaza de España, 14), Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 14.15 hours, or sent by registered post or courier. In that case, the sending must be notified to fiestas@cabra.es within 24 hours following deposit at Correos or delivery to the courier service, and the costs must be borne by the sender.
The work will be placed in a closed wrapping that prevents it from being seen, identified with the text «Concurso Carteles Carnaval 2027» and the poster's slogan. Inside, two sealed envelopes will be included: one with the participation application and the responsible declaration (annexes I and II) and another with the registration information (annex III), as well as the authorisation for minors or the declaration on artificial intelligence where applicable. The call and the annexes may be requested from that same email address or collected at the Delegación de Feria y Fiestas.
The period will begin on the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia (BOP) de Córdoba and will end on December 21, 2026 at 14.15 hours.
