Córdoba CF lost 0-2 to UD Almería at the Bahrain Victorius Nuevo Arcángel stadium, in a match in which the home team failed to shoot on target during the first half.

The match began at a high pace on both sides. Almería pushed forward into the opposing half and pressed the Córdoba goal defended by Andrés Fernández. In minute 22, Carracedo had the first chance of the match with a shot that did not find the goal. During the first 45 minutes there were no further clear chances for either team.

After the break, Kevin Medina came on for Tasende, who withdrew due to discomfort, and Bri moved to occupy the left back position. In minute 51 came the first goal of the match: a cross from Baptistao allowed Cipenga to beat Guilherme, Córdoba's goalkeeper.

The Córdoba coach brought on Budesca and Enol for Egoitz and Percan, both booked, while Almería sought to settle the match with a counterattack. In minute 69, an error by the home defense led to the second goal, scored by Thalys, who had just come onto the pitch.

With the score at 0-2, Almería sat back to defend the result. Córdoba, with Víctor Sánchez and Adnane now on the pitch, unsuccessfully sought space out wide. Adnane sent a shot over the crossbar and Isma Ruiz also tried his luck. In minute 92, a goal by Víctor Sánchez was ruled out for offside.

The referee for the match was Andrés Fuentes, from the Comité de árbitros de la Comunidad Valenciana.
