Those who wish to take part in the II Concurso de Expresión Artística contra la Violencia de Género de Puente Genil have until November 17 at 14:00 to do so. Adults registered in the municipality may enter, individually and with a single work per participant, in the disciplines of photography, drawing, painting or graphic design.

What the work must be like

The works must address the fight against gender violence and its eradication in any of its manifestations. They must be original, unpublished and must not have won prizes in other competitions, and they may not include content that incites hatred or violence or that could offend sensibilities. The rules expressly prohibit the use of artificial intelligence tools in creating the works. The jury may request the editable files to clarify any doubt about their use. Each work must carry a motto or title related to the purpose of the competition and the mention «25 de Noviembre, Día Internacional contra la Violencia de Género». Logos are not accepted and the technique is free, in physical format and with the maximum dimensions set by the rules, in both vertical and horizontal orientation.

Where and how it is submitted

The works are addressed to the Concejalía de Igualdad and are handed in person at the Biblioteca Pública Municipal Ricardo Molina, in the Parque de los Pinos, s/n, from Monday to Friday, during the centre's opening hours. Works will not be accepted outside the established deadline and hours.

Three prizes

The competition offers a first prize of 300 euros and a book pack valued at 100 euros; a second prize of 150 euros and cinema tickets valued at 50 euros; and a third prize of 50 euros and stationery valued at 50 euros. The decision will be announced on November 25, 2026, during the opening event of the exhibition of the participating works, on the ground floor of the Biblioteca Municipal Ricardo Molina.

Jury and organisation

The jury is made up of five people: Asunción César, concejal delegada de Servicios Sociales, Igualdad y Familias; Inmaculada Muñoz García, legal adviser at the Centro Municipal de Información a la Mujer; Gloria Villalobos Núñez, psychologist at the same centre and member of the Comisión Técnica Local contra la Violencia de Género; Sonia Estepa Tabares, secretary of the Corporación Bíblica Las Hijas de Salfad, journalist and expert in marketing and digital communication; and Jesús Carmona Borrego, audiovisual communicator, camera operator and content creator. The call is promoted by the Delegación de Igualdad within the municipal programme for November 25, Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia contra la Mujer. César encourages the public to take part in this second edition and highlights the value of art as a tool for awareness-raising and social condemnation.

What has to be done

Submit a single original and unpublished work, in physical format and without artificial intelligence, at the Biblioteca Pública Municipal Ricardo Molina, from Monday to Friday and during the centre's opening hours, before November 17 at 14:00.
