Hospital Universitario Reina Sofía is organizing the Mountain Race and Hiking event 'Solidarios con la Salud Mental', coinciding with World Mental Health Day and as part of the center's 50th anniversary. The start and finish of all the events will be at Hospital Los Morales.
The sports event will have three categories: a trail of about 16 kilometers with 550 meters of accumulated positive elevation gain, which will start at 9:30 a.m.; a mini-trail of 6 kilometers and 270 meters of elevation gain, starting at 10:00 a.m.; and a hiking route of about 4 kilometers and 130 meters of elevation gain, which will start at 10:30 a.m. Each category has an initial quota of 150 participants.
Under the slogan 'Corre por ti, corre por todos', the day is set in the middle of nature and seeks to give visibility to mental health. The activity has been promoted by professionals from the Mental Health Therapeutic Community, with the collaboration and sponsorship of public and private entities and the technical organization of Club Deportivo Wild Trail. Registrations are made through the Masatletismo website.
