The workshop 'Verbal De-escalation and Management of Conflictive Situations in the Healthcare Setting' will be led by Ana Isabel Canalejo Rodríguez, nurse at the Unidad de Hospitalización de Salud Mental and graduate in Psicología from the UNED, within the 'Semana de la Salud Mental' of the Colegio Oficial de Enfermería de Córdoba.
The workshop will cover the identification of potentially conflictive situations in the healthcare setting, the factors that can increase tension, the basic principles of verbal de-escalation and different techniques of effective communication, active listening and management of situations of agitation and conflict, with a participatory methodology that combines a brief theoretical presentation with analysis of practical situations.
