Saint Raphael's Day
On 24 October Cordoba honours its guardian, Saint Raphael, with Mass at the Church of the Oath and the traditional countryside perol. A local holiday.

Battle of the Flowers
A parade of peña floats along the Paseo de la Victoria, with thousands of carnations thrown between riders and crowd. It opens the May festivities.

Montilla-Moriles Wine Tasting Fair
Annual event in Cordoba devoted to Montilla-Moriles wines: winery stands, Cordoban tapas, guided tastings and music, at the end of April.

May Crosses
For a few days, squares in every Cordoba neighbourhood fill with flower-covered crosses, music and bars. A municipal contest has run since 1925.

White Night of Flamenco
A June night when Cordoba fills its squares and monuments with flamenco singing, guitar and dance until dawn, with open-air performances.

It begins on the Wednesday before the first weekend of October and runs until Saturday; in the days before there are events such as the Salmorejo Flamenco and the switching-on of the lights.
Baena Royal Fair
Baena's Royal Fair fills the town with marquees, horses and flamenco dresses from Wednesday to Saturday, in the week of the first weekend of October.
