Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad lost this Saturday 2-3 to Jaén Paraíso Interior in the Andalusian derby played at the Vista Alegre pavilion, on the fourth matchday of the Liga Prime Futsal Apertura Tournament. The Córdoba team is still without its first win in the competition and will look for it on Sunday, October 11, when it visits Servigroup Peñíscola.

An adverse first half

The match started evenly, with chances for both teams, but the script changed towards the middle of the first half. Jaén player Nando put his team ahead and, shortly afterwards, Murilo was shown a straight red card after a VAR review for an incident with Joao Salla. With Córdoba playing a man down, Joao Salla himself scored two consecutive goals to make it 0-3 on the scoreboard. Before half-time, Ivi pulled one back for the hosts, who went into the dressing room with the score at 1-3. During that final stretch of the first half, reserve-team player Alberto Peinado also made his Primera debut.

The reaction in the second half

In the second half, Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad played with more danger in the opposition area, though without the same bite due to the absence of Murilo and Zequi, the latter withdrawn through injury. The push from players such as Peinado, Palacio and Perin did not translate into a goal until goalkeeper Víctor made it 2-3 with a long-range shot that surprised the opposing keeper, Espíndola, in the 31st minute. The Córdoba side's later attempts to equalise did not bear fruit. Both Miguel Palacio and Perin, the latter in the final seconds of the match, had chances to equalise that they failed to convert into goals.
