Villa del Río opens on Friday the exhibition for the 25th anniversary of Blas Moyano

The exhibition «Villa del Río recuerda a Blas Moyano. 25 años de legado y memoria» opens on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 20:30, at the Museo Histórico Municipal «Casa de las Cadenas». The exhibition brings together paintings by the artist from Villa del Río and is part of the programme organised for the 25th anniversary of his death, according to the area of Culture of the Ayuntamiento de Villa del Río.

The exhibition can be visited from October 30 to November 29, 2026. Monday to Friday it opens from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. On Saturdays visits are by appointment on the telephone 685 45 76 72.

The commemorative programme continues on Saturday, October 31, at 12:00, at the Cementerio Municipal, with the posthumous award of the Medalla de Oro de la Villa to Blas Moyano Rosauro. The event will include a tribute to his figure and music by the Trío de Capilla de la Banda de Música Puente Romano de Villa del Río. The Ayuntamiento has also organised other activities. «Tras los trazos del pintor» is an educational proposal for schools. «Palabras para Blas. Un recuerdo que permanece» invites people to dedicate texts of up to 250 words to the artist; the texts can be sent to bibliovilladelrio@gmail.com and will be recorded by their authors and broadcast on Matías Prats Radio. The children's workshop «Pintamos Villa del Río» is held on Saturday, November 7, at 11:00, at the Biblioteca Municipal, for children up to 11 years old, with registration at the library itself. The works will be exhibited from November 17 to 29. The lecture «Blas Moyano, 25 años en la memoria. Tres miradas a su vida y su obra» will take place on Friday, November 20, at 20:00, in the Salón de Plenos de la Casa Consistorial, with the participation of the painters Francisco Vera Muñoz, Jesús Zurita Villa and María José Ruiz. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
