ASAJA, COAG and UPA call for agricultural mobilisations over fuel price rise
The three agricultural organisations are calling for mobilisations across the country over the rising cost of agricultural diesel, which worsens with the end of the aid for its purchase on September 30.

ASAJA, COAG and UPA have called for immediate mobilizations throughout the national territory to protest the rise in fuel prices, according to the statement sent by ASAJA Córdoba. The three agricultural organizations state that farming and livestock operations are facing a critical situation due to the rising cost of production.
According to the statement, agricultural diesel was paid at 1.649 euros per liter on September 7, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture cited in the note, which represents a 48% increase compared to a year ago. The organizations attribute this increase, along with that of fertilizers, to the price rises recorded since the start of the war in Iran and note that it has intensified in recent months.
The timing coincides with the sowing campaign, the grape harvest, the corn harvest and, in the coming weeks, the olive harvest, periods in which, according to the organizing organizations, work in the fields cannot stop.
End of the agricultural diesel subsidy
The subsidy for the purchase of agricultural diesel ends on September 30. The agricultural organizations maintain that, less than two weeks before that date, there is no response or alternative from the administrations, so the sector would face autumn without that economic support.
ASAJA, COAG and UPA demand immediate responses from all administrations regarding this situation and call on the entire agricultural sector to support the protests that are called.
