The 2026 call for the Empleo y Formación programme will have almost 12.8 million euros in the province of Córdoba, after the Consejería de Empleo, Empresa y Trabajo Autónomo expanded the credit by 1.4 million for projects by Córdoba public entities. The expansion was published in the Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) on Tuesday, October 20.

More applications than budget

The application period ended on September 11. By that date, 54 requests had been received in Córdoba for an amount exceeding 19.5 million euros, above the budget initially available. Of these, 51 come from public entities and three from non-profit entities. With the modification, the budget for projects by public entities in the province rises to 12.3 million euros. The expansion is funded with funds from the Administración General del Estado, charged to the Presupuestos Generales del Estado through the credits of the Servicio Público de Empleo Estatal.

Contract from the first day

The Empleo y Formación programme provides that participants be hired by the entities from the first day and for 12 months, with the salary corresponding to the effective work performed. The projects are in-person, last one year and seek to improve the employability of unemployed people through activities of public utility or general and social interest. Training accounts for between 35% and 50% of the hours of each contract, taking 1,920 hours as a reference. The training plan must include at least the content necessary to obtain a professional certificate, as well as guidance, advice for job searching and employment information. Each project must have a minimum of ten participants.

How many applications per municipality

Public entities may submit applications according to their population size: up to two for municipalities with fewer than 8,000 inhabitants and up to six for those with more than 50,000. In the case of local entities grouping several municipalities, the population of all of them is added together.

No new deadline

The expansion was envisaged in the initial call, published in July, according to the Consejería. It does not open a new application period nor modify the resolution deadlines. The resolution can be consulted in the BOJA: the resolution published in the BOJA.
