The university community of the University of Córdoba (UCO) will be able to freely access sports facilities and take part in various activities between Wednesday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 30, 2026, as part of the European Week of Sport.

The initiative, promoted by the European Commission under the slogan #BeActive, seeks to encourage physical activity and good eating habits and is held simultaneously in all countries of the European Union. The UCO has been collaborating with this initiative since 2019 through Ucodeporte, according to the statement issued by the university itself.

During that week, the UCO's proposal will include free use of sports spaces, participation in guided classes, amateur competition sports meetings and sports promotion activities with local sports organizations.

The activities will take place at the university sports facilities managed by Ucodeporte: La Areté, Monte Cronos, the swimming pools and the facilities at Campus Menéndez Pidal, as well as the Campus de Rabanales.

Those wishing to take part can check the full program and access conditions on Ucodeporte's website, in the section dedicated to the European Week of Sport.
