The Ayuntamiento de Cañete de las Torres has organized three activities for International Rural Women's Day: a concert on October 15, an art therapy workshop on the 16th and a day in Córdoba on the 22nd, with transport from the municipality.
The Cañete de las Torres Town Council has scheduled three activities on the occasion of the International Day of Rural Women, within the Tierra de Mujeres 2026 programme promoted by the Provincial Council of Córdoba.
Concert on Thursday, October 15
On Thursday, October 15, at 19:00, the Salón de Actos de la Caja Rural de Cañete de las Torres will host the musical performance Canción Española: Homenaje a la Mujer Rural, by the company Laura María Larrea Puerto. The proposal reviews the music and popular traditions dedicated to women in rural areas.
Art therapy workshop on Friday, October 16
On Friday, October 16, at 17:00, the Edificio España will host the workshop Tierra Interior: Arteterapia para Mujeres Rurales, led by Eva M. Vega Pavón. The activity presents art as a tool for emotional well-being, personal expression and self-care. Places are limited to 15 participants and prior registration is required through the QR code on the poster or the enabled form.
Event in Córdoba on Thursday, October 22
The Town Council is collaborating with AFAMMER on the event Mujeres rurales: sembrando igualdad, recolectando oportunidades, which will be held on Thursday, October 22 at the Auditorio del Real Jardín Botánico de Córdoba, from 9:30 to 14:30. The meeting will address leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation and opportunities for rural women. A bus has been arranged that leaves at 7:45 from the door of the Town Council. The price is 3 euros per person and includes transport, attendance, food and a cultural visit. Places are limited and registration is done through the QR code on the poster or the corresponding form.
How to take part
For the art therapy workshop you must register in advance and there are only 15 places. For the event on October 22, registration is also required, with limited places, and costs 3 euros. In both cases the procedure is done through the QR code on the poster or the form indicated by the Town Council.
The Cañete de las Torres Town Council states that with this programme it reaffirms its commitment to equal opportunities and encourages citizens to take part.
