The Feria Real de Baena 2026, held between September 30 and October 3, has left an estimated economic impact of 2.07 million euros, according to the report prepared by the Ayuntamiento de Baena. The study places the economic activity associated with the event in a range of between 1.92 and 2.22 million, with that central scenario of 2.07 million.

7% more than in 2025

The comparison with the 2025 edition, applying a homogeneous methodology and each year's municipal spending, reflects an estimated growth of 7% in nominal terms. That evolution incorporates the updating of attendees' spending in line with official price references and the Ayuntamiento's financial effort in the organisation. Attendees' spending is estimated at 1.64 million euros, distributed mainly among hospitality, restaurants, casetas, retail, attractions and services linked to the Feria. The municipal investment amounted to 301,528 euros, which means 5.44 euros of estimated attendees' spending for every euro of municipal investment.

Comparison with other ferias

The report compares these figures with studies of other Spanish ferias, including those of Pozoblanco, Teruel, Albacete and San Sebastián de los Reyes. Those references place Baena's estimated spending, of about 41 euros per attendance, within the range of the published figures, taking into account the methodological differences between the studies.

More programming and Almuerzo de Feria

On the social and cultural side, the 2026 edition brought back the Feria de día and launched a Caseta Joven, with offerings for young people, families and older people alongside the musical performances and traditional activities. The Almuerzo de Feria with the older people brought together, according to municipal estimates, between 800 and 1,000 people, above the 750 places initially planned. The programme kept the XLIX Salmorejo Flamenco, the sevillanas competitions and the local artistic talent activities. The Ayuntamiento has also announced that Baena will host the Campeonato Nacional de Sevillanas in 2027.

Safety, equality and accessibility

The organisation had a special security operation coordinated among the police forces and maintained the Punto Violeta as an information and prevention resource for violence against women. The report also includes accessibility improvements at the Caseta Municipal and notes the advisability of continuing to adapt public spaces and services. The Ayuntamiento plans to consolidate in coming editions the measurement of attendees, the participation indicators and the monitoring of social and environmental actions.
