The Centro de Exposiciones, Ferias y Convenciones de Córdoba (CEFC) hosts the III Salón del Emprendimiento Cofrade, held alongside the II Feria Cofrade de España e Iberoamérica. The event combines the trade exhibition with cultural and training activities, professional meetings, craft demonstrations and innovation and digitalisation proposals, with technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

Craftsmanship and innovation

According to the president of the Diputación de Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, during the opening, the event brings together three strands: the cofrade fair, that of artisanal talent and that of technological innovation. Fuentes noted that the cofrade world of Córdoba has cultural, heritage, social and economic potential, and highlighted the work of the province's artisans. The provincial president also stressed the effort of the Agrupación de Cofradías to conserve and recover artistic and religious heritage, with 300 restoration actions of sacred heritage that, he stated, will endure for future generations thanks to the work of the brotherhoods.

Convents and guest country

Fuentes referred to the presence of the Carmelitas de Aguilar de la Frontera, which represents the work of other conventual congregations that make artisanal products, such as sweets, to maintain their convents. He also recalled that Mexico will be the guest country and that the participation of representatives from Guatemala is expected. The president of the Diputación invited people to discover the sacred heritage of the capital and the province and to explore the diversity of Holy Week in the municipalities.
