The Almodóvar del Río Town Council has received a subsidy of 244,462.75 euros from the Diputación Provincial de Córdoba within the Plan Provincial Diputación Invierte 2026. The money is divided among six projects ranging from park equipment to the municipal swimming pool and sports activities.

What is funded

Most of the amount, 89,325.44 euros, goes to sports activities and health promotion. It is followed by the summer 2026 municipal swimming pool service, with 53,584.75 euros, and the fencing of the intergenerational centre, with 33,565.73 euros. The acquisition of furniture for parks and gardens and the creation of a dog area receives 28,640.41 euros. The summer 2026 school has 22,931.06 euros and the summer 2026 swimming and water activities courses, 16,415.36 euros.

More money than the previous year

In last year's call, the Almodóvar del Río Town Council received 206,367.51 euros from the same plan, according to the information published by this portal on October 20, 2026. At that time the projects included the underground containers in Casas Baratas, the summer school, the municipal swimming pool, the swimming courses, the fencing and facilities at municipal swimming pools and the demolition and acquisition of a house at calle Antonio Espín 7. The amount allocated this year exceeds that of the previous year by about 38,000 euros.

Who is affected

The funded projects affect municipal services of everyday use: parks and gardens, the swimming pool and summer water activities, the summer school and sports and health activities.
