The College of Nursing opens its first grants for external resident rotations
Nurses who are internal residents (EIR) and members of the Córdoba association may apply from October 22 for grants of up to 1,000 euros for external rotations carried out in 2026. The total funding is 4,000 euros and the deadline ends on December 1.
Nurses who are internal residents (EIR) and members of the Colegio Oficial de Enfermería de Córdoba (COE Córdoba) can apply for the first grants the organization allocates to fund external rotations. The call distributes total funding of 4,000 euros, with a maximum of 1,000 euros per beneficiary, according to the College.
What expenses it covers
The grants fund, among others, travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses directly linked to the rotation. The rotation must have been carried out at recognized national or international healthcare, teaching or research centers, and be linked to the specialty's training program, with authorization from the competent bodies.
Who can apply
Members who during 2026 have completed an official specialized healthcare training program in one of the nursing specialties recognized in Spain may apply. The rotation must have ended between January 1 and December 1, 2026 and have a minimum duration of 30 days.
How it is awarded
The grants are awarded by competitive process, according to the score obtained and until the available credit is exhausted. The assessment is out of 100 points: up to 30 for the quality and relevance of the training program, up to 25 for professional and social impact and knowledge transfer, up to 20 for the excellence of the host center, up to 15 for the added value compared with usual training and up to 10 for the abbreviated curriculum vitae. A minimum of 40 points out of 100 is required to be eligible for a grant.
How to apply
The application period is open from October 22 to December 1, 2026. Applications are submitted using the standard form, completed and with the documentation set out in the rules, by email to investigacion@coecordoba.es. Applications are evaluated by the College's Research advisory group.
The College explains that the aim is to support the specialized training of member nurses and to encourage the acquisition of advanced skills.
