Hotels in the province of Córdoba recorded 100,735 travellers and 167,920 overnight stays in September 2026, according to the Hotel Occupancy Survey published by the National Statistics Institute (INE). The INE gives these figures as provisional.
More travellers, fewer nights
The number of travellers grows compared with the same month the previous year, when 98,123 were counted, while overnight stays fall against the 169,031 of September 2025. The result is that slightly more people arrive, but each visitor spends on average fewer nights in the province's hotels.
By origin, 52,148 travellers resided in Spain and 48,588 abroad. In overnight stays, those of residents in Spain were 87,905 and those of residents abroad, 80,015.
Comparison with August
Compared with the previous month, September also leaves more travellers and fewer overnight stays. In August 2026 there were 98,735 travellers and 171,068 overnight stays, so the number of travellers rises by about two thousand while the nights booked fall by more than three thousand.
The portal reported on October 5 that the province's hotels had recorded 98,735 travellers and 171,068 overnight stays in August 2026, with 56,101 travellers residing in Spain and 42,634 abroad. In that month the weight of the domestic visitor was clearly greater; in September, by contrast, Spanish and foreign travellers are almost level.
What the survey measures
The Hotel Occupancy Survey is the statistic with which the INE measures each month how many people stay in hotels and how many nights they book, broken down by their place of residence. Its results are released as provisional and are revised afterwards.
The full data for the month can be consulted in the table published by the body: the Hotel Occupancy Survey table.
