The Montilla Lyric Gala reaches its twenty-seventh edition with a programme focused on opera and zarzuela. The concert will be held on Saturday, November 7, at 20:30, at Teatro Garnelo, according to the Ayuntamiento de Montilla.
Tickets and sales
Tickets are priced at 8 euros. They can be purchased through the Giglon platform and in person at the Centro Cultural Alcalde Antonio Carpio.
Performers and repertoire
The line-up brings together soprano Inmaculada Alameda, linked to Montilla through previous musical collaborations, who returns to the gala; Almería-born tenor Román Barceló, taking part for the first time, and baritone David Francisco Gascón, a native of Úbeda, who returns after his performance in a previous edition. Pianist Antonio López, technical coordinator of the gala, has explained that the programme will give special prominence to joint performances, with duets and trios.
The repertoire combines popular opera titles, with pieces from La bohème, Tosca, La traviata and Las bodas de Fígaro, alongside zarzuela numbers such as Luisa Fernanda, El gato montés, El dúo de las africanas and La tabernera del puerto.
A consolidated event
The Councillor for Culture, Soledad Raya, has highlighted the trajectory of this initiative and thanked Antonio López for his work in selecting performers and repertoire. The technical coordinator, for his part, has thanked the Área de Cultura for its annual support.
