The PP of Córdoba has focused its campaign message on the upcoming election on November 29, which the party's deputy secretary for Education and Equality, Jaime de los Santos, has framed as a choice between two models of country. According to him, those elections must serve to choose between a project committed to opportunities and respect for institutions and another conditioned by political scandals and investigations into alleged corruption.
Criticism of the central Government
De los Santos contrasted the management of the Andalusian Government of Juanma Moreno with that of Pedro Sánchez's Executive, which he accused of accumulating scandals and eroding trust in institutions. On equality, he questioned the management of electronic bracelets for the protection of victims of gender violence and held the Executive responsible for the problems recorded with these devices. He also reproached the PSOE for the consequences of the Only yes means yes Law and the shortcomings that, according to his complaint, the protection systems for women victims of sexist violence present.
On corruption, the popular leader referred to former minister José Luis Ábalos and other public officials linked to judicial investigations, questioned the Government's credibility and demanded political responsibilities. He also criticized the judicial situation of the State Attorney General and expressed his rejection of any measure of grace that could be considered in his case.
The "Andalusian Way" as a model
The secretary general of the PP of Andalusia and campaign coordinator for 29N in the community, Antonio Repullo, championed Juanma Moreno's "Andalusian Way", a management model based, as he explained, on stability and on approving budgets every year that allows improving public services and responding to families, small businesses and the self-employed. In contrast, he maintained that Pedro Sánchez's Government still offers no explanations or assumes responsibilities for the Adamuz rail accident, while the investigation drags on and safety investments remain pending, and that it also provides no solutions to the Ceuta conflict.
Repullo denounced that the socialist Executive is "more concerned with covering up the holes of corruption" than with managing Spaniards' problems, and stated that the PSOE is not running in the 29N elections under its own name, but integrated into a "desperate confluence" with the far left. He reaffirmed the commitment to put the entire organization of the Andalusian PP at the service of political change in Spain and described Pedro Sánchez as "the worst president of democracy".
Visit to the Flora Festival
De los Santos visited the Flora Festival held in Córdoba, accompanied by the secretary general of the PP of Andalusia, Antonio Repullo; the provincial president, Adolfo Molina; the president of the Council of Mayors of the PP Andalusia, José María Bellido; the president of the Electoral Committee of the Córdoba PP, Salvador Fuentes, and the deputies Beatriz Jurado and Verónica Martos. The popular deputy secretary thanked the work of the Andalusian PP and highlighted that the community today offers more opportunities thanks to a management model that, in his view, responds to the real needs of citizens.
