Update 18:42

The Cabildo has detailed that throughout the course there will be three concert cycles: the autumn one, in the temples of the route of the fernandinas churches; the winter one, in the peripheral neighbourhoods; and the spring one, again in the fernandinas churches. This was explained by the canon spokesperson, José Juan Jiménez Güeto. The assessment study is part of the analysis of the economic-social impact of the Mezquita-Catedral carried out by Loyola University, as specified by Ricardo Castilla, CEO of Concepto Instituto de Investigación Estratégica. The work analysed fifteen concerts from last autumn and winter cycles in thirteen temples in the capital: of the more than 5,500 attendees, 806 people were interviewed, with more than 8,700 responses, a satisfaction of 9.86 out of 10 and 96.3% recommendation. The Chantre-Maestro de Capilla canon, Antonio Murillo, has thanked the public's reception and has defended music as «the most universal and peaceful language». In addition, the digital programme can be consulted by scanning the QR code on a poster located at the entrance of each concert and its information will remain available once it has ended.
The Autumn Cycle of the Orchestra and Choir of the Cabildo Catedral returns with six free concerts spread between October 16 and December 19 in different churches in Córdoba. Admission is free, as reported by the Cabildo Catedral.

Accessible digital programme

The main novelty of this edition is a digital, interactive and accessible programme accessed via a QR code. It allows you to consult the repertoire of each concert, the works that will be performed and an explanation of their authors and their historical, aesthetic and theological context. Attendees can choose between three levels of information, from the essentials to a more detailed analysis. The programme incorporates easy reading, audio description and compatibility with screen readers. The contents will be available on the Mezquita-Catedral website under a Creative Commons licence, which facilitates their educational and informative use.

Six dates until December

The cycle starts on October 16 at the parish of María Auxiliadora with «Aperite portas Christo». It continues on October 31 at the church of la Compañía with «Consors paterni luminis», dedicated to Fauré; on November 13 at San Nicolás de la Villa and on November 14 at La Trinidad, with works by Victoria, Tavener and Mozart. On December 4 the Advent programme «Lumen gentium» arrives at San Miguel and it concludes on December 19 at the Mezquita-Catedral with the extraordinary concert «O admirabile commercium», which includes works by Mozart such as «Exsultate, jubilate» and the Coronation Mass.

Attendees' assessment

The programme is based on the results of the Cultural Impact Study of the 2025-2026 cycles, carried out by the Instituto de Investigación CONCEPTO on an estimated attendance of 5,500 people. 92.1% of those surveyed give the highest score, a 10 out of 10, and 99.2% place their assessment between 8 and 10. 96.3% would recommend the initiative and 97.4% rate the free admission with the highest mark. The canon spokesperson of the Cabildo Catedral, José Juan Jiménez Güeto, has stated that the digital programme represents «a very important leap in quality in our cultural programming» and that it seeks for those who attend «to be able to know and understand better the music they listen to». The presentation was attended by the director of the Orchestra and Choir, Clemente Mata, and the CEO of CONCEPTO, Ricardo Castilla.

How to attend

The six concerts are free and do not require a paid ticket. The repertoire and the information of each programme can be consulted through the QR code of the digital programme, available on the Mezquita-Catedral website.
