Hinojosa del Duque opens the XIII Ornithological Competition to the public from October 21 to 24

The Caseta de Familias Unidas hosts the bird exhibition of the XIII Ornithological Competition “Ciudad de Hinojosa”, open to the public from Wednesday, October 21 to Saturday, October 24. Drawings by schoolchildren from the municipality will be displayed alongside the specimens.

The XIII Ornithological Competition «Ciudad de Hinojosa» faces its final stretch with the public opening of the bird exhibition at the Caseta de Familias Unidas. The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday, October 21 to Friday, October 23, from 17:00 to 20:30, and on Saturday, October 24, from 10:30 to 14:00.

Birds from the region and school drawings

According to the Asociación Ornitológica Hinojeseña, which organizes the event, the exhibition will bring together specimens from various municipalities in the comarca de Los Pedroches and from neighbouring provinces. Alongside the birds, the works submitted by students from the two schools of Hinojosa del Duque to a drawing competition linked to this edition will be shown. The competition calendar began on Friday, October 16 with the reception and registration of specimens, which continued on Saturday, October 17. The technical judging of the birds took place on Sunday, October 18.

Closing and prize ceremony

The closing and prize ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 24 from 17:00. The Ayuntamiento de Hinojosa del Duque and the Asociación Ornitológica Hinojeseña invite residents and visitors from the region to come to the Caseta de Familias Unidas during these days. The mayor, Matías González, has congratulated the association for keeping the event, and the president of the group, Luis García, has thanked the Consistorio for its support. The presentation, held at the Ayuntamiento, was also attended by councillors Agustín Romera, María Dolores Aranda and Enrique Tocados.

How to visit it

The exhibition is free to enter and does not require registration. It can be visited from Wednesday, October 21 to Friday, October 23, from 17:00 to 20:30, and on Saturday, October 24, from 10:30 to 14:00, at the Caseta de Familias Unidas de Hinojosa del Duque.
