Lucena brings together 220 Vespas from Thursday at the 15th Ruta Subbética
The Ayuntamiento and the Vespa Club Lucena are organizing a gathering from October 1 to 4 with more than two hundred participants, a concert in the city center and a route through several municipalities of the region.
Lucena hosts the fifteenth edition of the Ruta Subbética en Vespa from Thursday, October 1 to Sunday, October 4, a gathering organized by the Vespa Club Lucena with the collaboration of the City Council through the Department of Tourism. The event will bring together fans from different parts of Spain and already has around 220 registrations. This year Moriles is participating as a guest town.
Concert in the city center
One of the new features of this edition is that the center of Lucena once again becomes the setting for the activities. On the night of Friday, October 2, after the climb to the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Araceli, a concert will be held in the Plaza de Archidona, next to the walls of the Castillo del Moral, with a performance by the group Benalrock and a bar managed by local hospitality businesses.
The main route, on Saturday
The central day will be Saturday, October 3, with a route that partially modifies the usual layout. The vespas will depart from the FM Calefacción de Lucena facilities toward Zambra and Cabra, continue through the area of Montilla, Aguilar de la Frontera and Moriles, where they will make a stop, and return to Lucena via the Navas del Selpillar.
Gathering schedule
Registration of participants will begin on Thursday, October 1 and continue on Friday, October 2. On Saturday, October 3 the main route will take place and on Sunday, October 4 a guided tourist visit of the city will be offered.
