The Diocesan Formation Plan for members of brotherhoods and confraternities began this Saturday, October 10, with 527 students enrolled. The training is distributed across three venues: nearly 300 students in Córdoba, more than 170 in Lucena and more than 60 in Pozoblanco.
Where it is taught
Classes are held at the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Religiosas Beata Victoria Díez in Córdoba, the Centro de Orientación Familiar San Juan Pablo II in Lucena and the Colegio Salesiano San José in Pozoblanco. At each venue, coordinators and volunteers welcomed the participants and gave them their accreditations and course materials.
The day began with an opening prayer and a welcome message from monseñor Jesús Fernández, bishop of Córdoba, addressed to the brothers and members of the participating brotherhoods.
What is studied
In this first session, subjects such as Coherencia Fe-Vida, Iniciación a los Evangelios, Los dogmas mariológicos, Hermandad-Parroquia-Diócesis, La piedad popular and Evangelizar a través del arte were addressed.
The faculty is made up of priests, teachers and professionals linked to the brotherhoods and confraternities, many of them with experience on governing boards. The Diocese explains that this approach responds to the idea of «cofrades que forman a cofrades».
How it continues
The course will continue over the coming months with new sessions at the three venues and with the support of a digital platform where students will find the materials, content and bibliography selected by the teaching staff.
The Delegación Diocesana de Hermandades y Cofradías thanks the teaching staff for their availability and coordinators, volunteers and venue managers for their collaboration.
