The Teatro Góngora hosts the sessions of the Educational Concerts of the Diputación and the Orquesta de Córdoba on October 27, 28 and 29, with free bus transport for students from around thirty municipalities in the province.
The Teatro Góngora in Córdoba will host a new edition of the Conciertos Didácticos on October 27, 28 and 29, organised by the Delegación de Cultura de la Diputación de Córdoba and the Orquesta de Córdoba. The performances are aimed at pupils from schools, secondary schools, municipal music schools and conservatories in around thirty municipalities in the province.
Dates and times
The morning sessions on Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 29 will have showings at 10.00 and 12.00 and are intended for school and secondary school pupils. On Wednesday, October 28 there will be a concert at 18.00 for pupils from municipal music schools and conservatories in the province.
The show is presented under the title «Kacharristán» and is performed by the company VibraTó in collaboration with the Orquesta de Córdoba.
Free transport
The Diputación once again makes available to schools a bus service that guarantees free transport for pupils from their home towns to the Teatro Góngora, as pointed out by the head of the Área de Cultura, Gabriel Duque.
Students from Fuente Palmera, Adamuz, Pedroche, Aguilar de la Frontera, El Carpio, La Rambla, Rute, Valenzuela, Cabra, Santaella, El Viso, Fernán Núñez, Puente Genil, Nueva Carteya, Villanueva del Rey, Montoro, Castro del Río, Baena, Priego de Córdoba, Lucena, Montilla, Guadalcázar, Hornachuelos, Bujalance, Carcabuey, Fuente Carreteros, Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo, Palenciana, Fuente Tójar, Palma del Río and Villanueva de Córdoba are expected to travel to the capital.
«Reciclaorquesta» workshops
As a novelty of this edition, the cycle incorporates the workshop programme «Reciclaorquesta», developed by the duo VibraTó. In them, as Duque explains, participants learn to merge classical music with universal folklore by transforming everyday and waste objects, such as watering cans, pipes, dustpans, bottles or hoses, into instruments.
These training sessions had the participation of pupils from the municipal music schools of Castro del Río and Puente Genil on October 21. The musical results of the workshops will be shown in a concert scheduled for October 28.
