The 25N programme in Montilla begins before November. On Friday, October 23, at 20:00, the exhibition "29 creadoras en Córdoba" opens in the exhibition room of the Claustro del Pretorio, at the Convento de Santa Clara, as part of the Botí Itinerante programme of the Fundación Provincial de Artes Plásticas Rafael Botí. It brings together works by women creators from the province, including local artists María José Ruiz and María José Bellido, and can be visited until November 1.

Textiles and schools

The following day, Saturday, October 24, the Plaza de Abastos hosts a gathering of women weavers as part of the "Engánchate a la igualdad" initiative, promoted together with the Plataforma Cordobesa contra la Violencia a las Mujeres. The resulting works will be installed on a tree on the Paseo de las Mercedes during the month of November, with the participation of Montilla's schools, which are also preparing elements for this awareness-raising action.

On November 13, at 18:30, the assembly hall of the Centro de Servicios Sociales y de la Mujer "Lola López" hosts the presentation of the book Las alas intactas. Versos para volver al cuerpo y a la vida, by the Montilla author Alicia Tejada. On November 19, at 10:30, a guided tour of the Castillo de Montilla will be held by María Divina Rubio Bardón, with a maximum of 15 places.

The main day

On November 25, information stands will be set up around the market and at the doors of the Ayuntamiento. There will also be a five-minute gathering in front of the Casa Consistorial and an extraordinary plenary session at which the motion prepared by the Consejo Municipal de la Mujer will be debated. Throughout this period, the Área de Igualdad is maintaining co-education activities in schools, focused on preventing violence and promoting respect and healthy relationships among young people.

How to take part

For the guided tour of the Castillo de Montilla, prior registration is required at the Centro Municipal de Información a la Mujer, on telephone 957 65 32 10, and places are limited to 15. The other activities are open and do not require registration according to municipal information.
