The students of the PEF 360 of Posadas have taken part in a day on gender equality, social inclusion, human rights and non-discrimination, held on October 19 at the Centro de Iniciativa Empresarial (CIE) of Posadas, according to the Ayuntamiento de Posadas.
Practical cases and a timeline
During the workshop, Antonio Alabanda introduced the contents of the day and afterwards the participants organised themselves into small groups to work with practical cases on women's rights before 1975. Through these dynamics, they reflected on economic and labour autonomy, parental authority, freedom of movement and rights within marriage.
The students also took part in a timeline activity, linking dates with laws and legislative advances passed between 1975 and 2024, among them the Constitución Española and legislation on divorce. The Ayuntamiento notes that these proposals allowed them to learn about the evolution of women's rights in Spain and to foster critical thinking, dialogue and collective reflection.
Red ODS programme
The activity was part of the Red ODS Posadas programme, linked to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 5 (Gender equality), SDG 10 (Reduced inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, justice and strong institutions) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the goals).
The workshop was organised by the Ayuntamiento de Posadas and the Concejalía de Juventud, with the collaboration of the Centro Municipal de Información a las Mujeres de Posadas and the subsidy of the Junta de Andalucía, within the framework of actions aimed at promoting equality, inclusion and citizen participation.
Assessment
According to the Ayuntamiento, the day took place in a participatory and constructive atmosphere and received a very positive assessment from those attending, with scores above notable in all the categories evaluated.
