The Cofrade Fair closes this Sunday with saetas, crafts and 3D heritage

The II Cofrade Fair of Spain and Ibero-America holds its last day on Sunday, October 18, at the Córdoba Exhibition, Fair and Convention Centre, with the School of Saetas, a showcooking of Córdoba pastelón and presentations on the preservation of cofrade heritage.

The II Cofrade Fair of Spain and Ibero-America faces its last day this Sunday, October 18, at the Centro de Exposiciones, Ferias y Convenciones de Córdoba (CEFC). The event maintains the prominence of training, craftsmanship, heritage and technological innovation, as detailed by the Agrupación de Hermandades y Cofradías de Córdoba.

What can be seen

Among the planned activities are the opening of the Taberna Cofrade by La Cazuela de la Espartería, presentations of technological resources for the preservation of the cofrade heritage of the province of Córdoba, activities of the Escuela de Saetas de Córdoba and a showcooking of pastelón cordobés. The program also includes new technological proposals, musical performances, the awarding of diplomas and a fellowship lunch before the closing.

A day focused on management and technology

Saturday, October 17 was marked by the presentation of digital tools for the brotherhoods. At 10:00, Francisco Muriel presented Melampo, comprehensive management software for brotherhoods. At 11:00, FOCOCOR offered the session «La oración en imágenes: proceso y claves de la fotografía digital cofrade», given by Carlos López Rodríguez and Enrique José Aguilar. At 12:00, Francisco Pulgarín presented technological resources for the security of cofrade heritage in 3D, and at 13:00, Juan Antonio Marín presented Netherman, an online ERP for brotherhoods.

Culture and tradition on Saturday afternoon

In the afternoon, attendees followed the live broadcast of the departure of the Hermandad de la Merced. At 17:00, the Plaza de la Agrupación de Cofradías hosted the presentation of the new website of the Agrupación de Córdoba, by Javier Fernández, and in the classrooms of the future Geopasos was presented, on the geolocation of Holy Week. At 17:30 the concert of the Banda de los Sayones de Pozoblanco took place in the Paseo de la Música, and at 18:30 the parade of mantillas by Juan Algaba. The day concluded with the performance of the religious theater of Doña Mencía and the awarding of diplomas.

The Fair is held at the CEFC and the last day is Sunday, October 18. The Agrupación de Hermandades y Cofradías de Córdoba thanks the participation of attendees, speakers, companies and collaborating entities of this second edition.
