The Sabor a Córdoba Provincial Food Fair has brought its third edition to a close with 63 participating agri-food companies and around half a hundred activities held over three days on the ground floor of the CEFC. This was announced by the delegate for Economic Development, Promotion and Employment of the Diputación de Córdoba, Félix Romero, who noted that the event remains at its current location and has grown in public attendance.
Around thirty gastronomic proposals
Of the total activities, around thirty were linked to gastronomy and the rest to the promotion of culture, traditions and some crafts. The seven comarcas of the province and numerous town councils took part in them, according to Romero, who highlighted the public's support for the cooking demonstrations, tastings, samplings and workshops.
Among the most popular spaces, the delegate mentioned the Túnel del Aceite, with oils from the denominations of origin, and the Túnel del Vino, which brought together more than 180 samples from 60 wineries in the province. The Ruta Eco, launched at this edition to give visibility to the 19 exhibitor companies of organic products, was also well received.
The Diputación's assessment
Romero, who is also president of the Instituto Provincial de Desarrollo Económico (Iprodeco), described the result of the three days as "very satisfactory" and stressed that the fair serves as a showcase for the Córdoba agri-food sector. Romero thanked the involvement of entities, town councils, comarcas, wineries, oil mills and companies, as well as the public's response, and defended the need to continue promoting this type of gathering for its contribution to business and employment in the municipalities.
To visit the next edition
The fair has been held on the ground floor of the CEFC over three days and closed its doors this Sunday, October 25. No information has been provided on dates for a future edition.
